Reflections From the Cradle of Democracy Series

By pairing Roman and Greek sculptures with images of the 'houses' of American politics I mean to question how the founders of Democracy might feel about the present state of American politics. Is Democracy as noble a goal as it once was? Are we doing it right? A celebration of the values of the classic age appears both inside and outside most American government buildings with the inclusion of columns and white marble and other temple like proportions; Are the activities housed in these buildings what the founders of Democracy had intended?
